Then a chorus of male voices came through loud and clear that our men customers also need a zipper in their hemp boots. Well, it's a bit challenging to go back to a shoe design and perform such a major tweak. Mariana, our Shoe Designer, took the challenging request in stride, as she always does.
One week later, she presented us with not one but two of our men's hemp boots which are now zippered! Well, that makes us and a myriad of customers very happy!

The Shoe Workshop at the Rawganique Atelier in Europe is a happy place, full of light and laughter and creativity. It's one of our favorite places to hang out whenever we go for a visit. It's mesmerizing to watch our long-time shoe artisans work their cobbling magic on organic hemp fabric that we have just woven. They hand cut and size every pair of shoes with such craftsmanship. Many of them have been making handmade hemp shoes for us for over 18 years. We are so grateful!
